Now I can breathe easily again
and in this passing sleep
sleep painlessly again.
If you must weep
and weep you may
remember I am freed to find
old friends and family.
Even to walk on with one
awakened just like me a little while ago
to our new amity.
Remember too that days
I have to leave behind
are just a parting of the ways.
Sad as we are in leaving,
think that I may find
the ease I lost those many years ago
but found renewable in loving you
and in enduring friendships too.
Remember, just remember me
For Spring comes in recollections
It will not always be December.
