Do not stand
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.

The Best
God saw you getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you And whispered “Come to Me”. With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A Golden Heart stopped beating, Hard working hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best

“How Do You Live Your Dash?”
I read of a man who stood to speak, At the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on his coffin, From the beginning.... to the end.
He noted that first came his date of birth And spoke the following date with tears, But he said what mattered most of all Was the dash between those years.
For that dash represents all the time That he spent alive on earth... And now only those who loved him Know what that little line is worth.
For it matters not, how much we own; The cars... the house....the cash, What matters is how we live and love And how we spend our dash.
